Price

$969.00

Prime's Year 11 English Standard tutoring course Term 2 will cover:

Module A: Contemporary Possibilities

The NESA module, Contemporary Possibilities, requires students to learn about historical attitudes and contextual values as part of storytelling conventions. This also includes contemporary modes of storytelling through new media and text-types, such as podcasts and vlogs. By learning the historical eras from the Age of Enlightenment, to the Romantic and Victorian eras, to, finally, the Modern and Postmodern eras, students will acquire a more sophisticated understanding of how literature has been, and continues to be influenced by the cultural and contextual values of its time. This is required learning for your HSC studies next year, especially module A: Language, Identity and Culture.

In group lessons, students practise and build on their comprehension, analytical and writing skills with guidance and feedback from their class tutor.

In workshops, students work on study paragraphs on their school-prescribed texts with tutors on hand to help them. Students can also revisit their schoolwork. Individual feedback and marking is a key feature of the workshop.

If needed, Students can additionally request feedback on their essays and submissions outside of their enrolled lesson and workshop time.  Please contact our office to use this separate service.
