This Year 11 English Standard Winter Holiday Course will focus on Close Study of Literature, and prepare students not only for their study in Year 11, but will help them develop an understanding of textual integrity and universality which will be vital for Module B of their HSC year. Students will read an excerpt from a play from the Year 12 prescribed list, and an academic critical essay, and learn how to evaluate their own opinion of a text in the light of opinions of others.
